As an all-around artist, I feel it is very crucial to explore all areas of expression. All of the fine arts (ie. performing arts, visual arts, music, and even literature) connect and speak to one another if an artist is daring enough to tap into these different mediums. In fact, I would argue that all artists should tap into every means of expression to grow and excel at their craft, despit their area of emphasis.
Over the last decade, I have worked on several pieces of various explorations of the human condition via the written word. I will self publish a small number of professionally-printed paperbacks of Thin Stories: 2003-2013, works that I am most proud to share. This volume shall provide only my works of fiction, including poems, short stories, plays, and screenplays.
Thin Stories will be for sale on only this website after the works have been heavily revised and proofed for printing.

Being, Existence, and the Quest for Truth: Metaphysical Contemplations
The following work by layman artist and filmmaker Dustin R. Mothersbaugh on metaphysics grasps the need for the understanding of metaphysical investigations in the post-post-modern age. With the aid of Aristotle, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Pope John Paul II, Mothersbaugh lays out a slightly-different Neo-Thomist advocacy, and the relation of existence to a moral and logical metaphysics, the components of a prime mover, and issues with other philosophical school's positions. With reliable reiteration, Mothersbaugh self-learns and promotes classical positions in a world in trouble without them.

The following work is completed out of the passion of writing, of the never ending search, and out of love of wisdom. Some ideas have been stated, studied, and postulated by past professional philosophers, but to my knowledge, not in the same way nor even by the same synthesis. I do not count myself among them. The truth is not liable. I only am driven to dictate the truths I have come to know.
